There will be no application process! We are accepting artists and writers of all skill levels.
In order to join the team, fill out this sign-up form, and you will be given an invite to a Discord server at the end!
All participants must have a Discord account for communication with moderators.
Please be kind to all participants! This is a safe space!
Furthermore, we will not tolerate any hateful language, especially towards LGBTQ members or headcanons.
You must be 16+ to participate. Furthermore, this project is SFW and will have no NSFW discussions in the server.
When talking about Transformers media, remember to spoiler tag accordingly!
Moderators reserve the right to remove any participant who breaks the rules above. Feel free to contact a mod if you feel uncomfortable with a certain participant.
How will this work?
Fill out this sign-up form which will guide you through any information we need to get you ready! This includes information for credits, ideas on pitches, your preference for art or writing, as well as an option to have a social media spotlight.
At the end of the form, you will be given a Discord invite link. This is how you will communicate with the team!
By the pitch due-date, you must pitch to moderators your idea on what to create for this zine. Once approved, moderators will grant you access to the rest of the server!
Check-Ins will be around every month where we ask all participants for progress on their piece(s). These are optional, but encouraged to keep yourself on track!
You must have a finished piece by the final submissions date! We will always give extensions to those who need them, but know at some point we must release the zine!
After some time, the moderators will format the digital zine file with everyone's works! And... soon enough, we will release this project to the public!!
When the zine is released, you may freely share your work(s)!
Contributor Rules
All participants must be 16 or older.
All works must be original and created for this zine. You are more than welcome to create more than one piece!
All participants must have a Discord account for communication.
We will have Check-In dates for participants to show progress on their piece(s), but these are optional. As long as you submit a piece by the final submissions date, we are happy!
We have NO tolerance for AI art or writing. Participants found to be using AI for their works will be removed.
This zine will be SFW. No NSFW content will be allowed. Canon-typical violence is alright!
This zine may feature spoilers for all Transformers media. We will be sure to tag all spoilers properly in the zine itself!
Specs for the zine will be very lax! Art pieces will be in an A5 format, with RBG colors. No need for bleed margins, as this will be digital! Writing pieces will not have a word limit, but we recommend around 3k words. More in depth specs will be provided in the Discord server!

FAQ
What is a fanzine?
A fanzine, or commonly know as a zine, is an independently published compilation of works from a group of contributors. In this case, we are making a digital booklet in the A5 format of art and writing, focused on transfeminine headcanons of Transformer's feared antagonist, Megatron!
Wait... Being transgender in the Transformers world isnt a big deal...
Great point! We understand that being trans in the Transformers universe is very trivial, but we differ this from genderswap AUs or making Megatron a cisgender femme from the start. This is specifically targeting the idea of Megatron realizing she's feminine and representing herself as such! How you interpret this can differ from each participant.
This is a two person moderation team. How can we trust you'll pull your weight?
We fully acknowledge that our team is small, but this project will mostly be run by Mod Paul, a well experienced moderator in the zine community. He's handled several projects as head organization mod, and very prepared to handle a small open-submissions project like this one. Mod Puzzles will help with social media and server moderation, as well as pick up work Paul cannot finish. We are both very passionate on making this project the best it can be and are willing to bring on more moderators if we need more help!
Will this zine be digital or physical?
This will be a free, digital zine! This means we cannot offer contributors any monetary compensation. This is considered voluneteer work!
What are the rules on representing Megatron? Are we following a certain continuity?
The only requirement is that participants illustrate or write Megatron as a transfem character. How you interpret this, as butch, feminine, early or late transition--everything is fine by us! This also includes nonbinary identies. Any continuity is welcome!
How about other headcanons?
Any other headcanons are also welcome! This includes headcanons that are LGBTQ, visual, disabilities, AUs, human-formers, etc.! Please avoid any genderbend AUs.
Can we feature other characters?
Of course! Just make sure Megatron is the focus of your piece.
Will you allow spoilers?
Yes! Be sure to spoiler-tag your piece accordingly in the server itself, and moderators will give spoiler warnings in the zine.
How many participants will you accept?
As many as we can!! We do not have an application process, so as soon as you sign-up, you're in!
I missed the Discord invite link!! What do I do?
Re-open the form under the same account you used to fill it out, and you should see the end-form message! The link will be here. If you are having trouble joining the Discord server, please reach out to us!
